Job Overview
BlueForce Logistics is currently hiring experienced Welders/Fabricators for immediate openings at a client's industrial facility in Guelph, Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled tradespeople seeking steady, ongoing work with overtime opportunities and long-term potential.
We're looking for individuals with strong FCAW and GMAW welding experience who are comfortable working on industrial equipment, conveyors, structural supports, and custom fabrication projects. This is not production welding—the work is varied, hands-on, and project-driven.
Position Details
- Location: Client site in Guelph, ON
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 44 hours per week
- Contract: Ongoing
- Pay: $32/hour
- Overtime: Paid after 44 hours/week
- Employment Type: Full-Time Contract
Responsibilities
- Perform FCAW and GMAW welding on industrial projects
- Set up and operate welding fixtures and rolls
- Prepare weld joints according to specifications and drawings
- Weld in multiple positions, including flat and horizontal
- Read and interpret:
- Welding blueprints
- Structural drawings
- Welding process specifications
- Welding symbols
- Operate hand, hydraulic, pneumatic, and power tools
- Assist with fabrication, assembly, and installation of industrial equipment and supports
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Qualifications / Required Experience
- 3+ years FCAW and GMAW welding experience
- 3+ years fitting and assembly
- Fabrication experience in an industrial environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding drawings
- Strong understanding of welding procedures and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a teamRequired Certifications
- 4-Step Safety Awareness Training
- WHMIS Certification
- GMAW and/or FCAW welding certification, qualification, or demonstrated equivalent experience
- Ability to pass a practical weld test
Work Environment
- Indoor industrial setting
- Teardown and construction of sorting conveyors and heavy equipment supports
- Varied project work—no repetitive production welding
- PPE required, including:
- Coveralls
- Welding gloves
- Welding shield
- Grinder
- Chipping hammer
