About Delta Auto Repair
Delta Auto Repair is an independent automotive service centre in Cambridge. We specialize in premium German vehicles, performance cars, and high-quality general repairs. We run a highly organized, fast-paced facility and are currently looking to add a skilled, experienced Automotive Technician to our team.
We offer immediate onboarding and a steady stream of year-round mechanical work. If you are looking for a reliable shop with an efficient hiring process, please submit your application today.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician / Mechanic who has strong mechanical fundamentals and is comfortable working on or expanding their skills with European makes (BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz).
We run a structured shop environment. Management entirely handles vehicle dispatching, parts procurement, and customer relationships so you can focus strictly on the vehicles. We need a reliable professional who follows our daily dispatch schedule precisely and works efficiently. You will be responsible for diagnosing vehicle issues and translating those exact findings back to management so estimates can be accurately built and parts can be ordered without delay.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle inspections, accurate mechanical diagnostics, and general repairs on a variety of passenger vehicles.
- Execute mechanical work, including suspension overhauls, brake systems, fluid/oil changes, timing chains, and turbocharger replacements.
- Utilize professional diagnostic equipmen to scan for codes, read data streams, and perform resets or adaptations.
- Collaborate closely with management by providing exact parts lists, fluid specifications, and precise diagnostic notes so customer quotes and invoicing can be handled cleanly.
- Follow the daily shop schedule and digital dispatch guidelines precisely to keep jobs moving on time.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional service bay.
Requirements
- Experience: 1-2 years of practical, hands-on experience working in a professional automotive service environment.
- Technical Capability: Strong mechanical aptitude with an uncompromising commitment to quality work. Because the service counter handles all scheduling, parts procurement, and client management, candidates must possess the proven technical skills to accurately diagnose and complete repairs without technical oversight.
- Tools: Must own a complete inventory of professional-grade hand and power tools.
- Credentials: Valid Ontario Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract.
- Communication: Ability to clearly lay out required parts, fluid specs, and repair steps so management can communicate seamlessly with customers and complete invoices.
- Attributes: Punctual, accountable, highly efficient, and respectful of established shop processes.
What We Offer
- Efficient Hiring Process: We respect your time. Qualified applicants will receive a prompt response and a direct, professional interview.
- Structured Daily Routine: A well-managed shop environment where tasks, scheduling, and vehicle dispatching are clearly mapped out for you daily.
- Modern Operations: We utilize a streamlined, digital shop management platform for seamless job tracking and tracking labor times.
- Consistent Work Volume: A steady, predictable workflow of diverse mechanical work to keep you moving year-round (inclusive of standard seasonal tire rushes).
- Work-Life Balance: Straight Monday-to-Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) so you can completely enjoy your weekends.
