Rutland Glass is looking for an experienced AUTO GLASS TECHNICIAN to join our team!
This is full time, Monday to Friday, permanent position.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Auto Glass ticket and relevant experience (2+ years)
- ICBC Glass Express Experience
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently
- Able to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to deal with people professionally at all times
- Computer literate
- Able to cut glass and mirrors/do sash repairs/build screens and other table style shop duties related to the trade
Main duties:
- Install, repair and replace glass and related materials such as windshields, back glass, side glass, quarter glass, and sunroofs
- Repair rock chips
- Obtain glass for windshields and windows for specific automobile makes and models
- Examine glass for defects prior to installation
- Replace or adjust motorized or manual window-raising mechanisms
- Use appropriate tools, safety equipment and parts according to specific job requirements
- Cut glass according to specified patterns, or perform precision pattern-making and glass cutting to custom fit replacement windows
- Maintain adequate stock of glazing accessories and ability to identify and order appropriate glass and materials.
- Other duties as assigned
