Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Deck Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in residential or commercial deck construction and is comfortable working with a variety of materials and tools. You will be responsible for building, repairing, and installing decks according to project specifications while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct decks, railings, stairs, and related structures from wood, composite, or other materials
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately
- Install footings, framing, decking boards, and finishing components
- Operate power tools and construction equipment safely
- Ensure all work meets local building codes and company quality standards
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively on job sites
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and upgrades on existing decks
Requirements
- Previous experience in deck building, carpentry, or general construction
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret plans and measurements accurately
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with composite decking and aluminum/steel railing systems
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
- First Aid or safety certifications
Work Conditions
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Physically demanding (lifting, bending, climbing)
- Travel to job sites may be required

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
