Monument Foundation Technician
Kyan Culture Inc. is seeking a reliable and hardworking Monument Foundation Technician to join our cemetery operations team.
This position involves constructing concrete foundations for cemetery monuments and memorials throughout Prescott-Russell, the Ottawa region, the Arnprior area, and the Laurentides region.
This is a physically demanding outdoor position best suited for someone who enjoys working outside, operating equipment, and taking pride in quality workmanship.
Schedule
- Primarily Thursday and Friday, 10 to 15 hour shift (depending on work)
- Additional weekend work may occasionally be required
- Seasonal position (approximately May through October/November)
- Weather-dependent schedule
- Rain may result in delayed start times, shortened workdays, rescheduling, or cancellation of work
- Some missed workdays may be replaced by weekend work when required
Responsibilities
- Measure and locate monument foundation sites
- Excavate foundation locations
- Prepare foundation bases
- Break or remove concrete forms
- Mix, place, and finish concrete
- Backfill and restore work areas
- Load and unload equipment and materials
- Operate generators, mixers, pumps, trailers, power tools, and hand tools
- Maintain clean and organized worksites
- Follow cemetery regulations and company procedures
- Work safely around existing monuments and cemetery property
- Travel to various cemetery locations throughout the service area
Requirements
- Dependable and punctual
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work
- Able to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Able to work on uneven terrain
- Strong attention to detail
- Valid Class G licence preferred
- Construction, landscaping, concrete, excavation, or cemetery experience is an asset but not required
