Background
Founded in 2013, our childcare and early childhood education programs promote exploration and learning through play, nature, and movement.
Our program is Reggio Emilia inspired and is guided by Flight: Alberta’s Early Learning and Care Framework and organically stems from children’s unique questions and interests. Within these programs, our team of caregivers form trusting bonds with the children, allowing them to feel safe and loved.
Reggio Emilia is aimed at exposing children to experiences in nature to help them grow, develop and learn through an inquiry-based approach. Educators act as observers and researchers alongside children to purposefully plan for future learning opportunities based on students’ questions, interests and needs. Inquiry promotes differentiation in learning and allows children to demonstrate their thinking at a rate that is developmentally appropriate.
