Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service, a strong knowledge of food and beverage preparation, and experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a key member of our staff, you will create a welcoming atmosphere for guests while accurately preparing and serving drinks, managing transactions, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with recipes and customer preferences
- Use POS systems such as Micros POS to process orders and payments accurately
- Greet guests warmly, take drink orders, and serve beverages promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and supplies
- Ensure compliance with food safety and food handling standards at all times
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cashiering duties
- Assist in serving food when necessary, supporting overall restaurant operations
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible alcohol service and prevent over-serving
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience preferred, especially in bartending or serving roles
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables and drink orders efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and calculating bills accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor to enhance guest experience
- Must be at least 21 years old (where applicable by law)
