Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions for the trailers, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, sub-assemblies, tools, and materials
Positions parts and sub-assemblies by using templates or reading measurements
Takes precision measurements to ensure a perfect fit of components in the trailers
Verifies specifications to ensure the highest quality
Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying a supervisor to obtain additional resources
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Maintains supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipating needed supplies
Reports on issues, malfunction or defective parts
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing results as needed
Follow all company policies and procedures
Complete all daily 5S tasks
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of computer operations
Must have physical dexterity and be able to lift heavy objects during the assembly process - 50 pounds approximately 7-10 times per day.
Able to use hand tools and machines including a 20 pound impact wrench
Experience with using sealants and fasteners
Strong attention to detail
Must have outstanding punctuality and attendance
Ability to work according to production schedules and deadlines
Must possess strong problem solving and communication skills as well as the ability to handle changing demands
Ability to read and follow written directions and understand basic shop drawings
Knowledge of measuring tools such as tape measure, and square.
Good understanding of math and quality control principles
