Do you enjoy painting, meeting new people, and being the life of the party? We're looking for an outgoing, reliable, and confident Event Host to lead Paint and Sip experiences at bars, restaurants, wineries, hotels, breweries, and other fun venues throughout Metro Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.
As an Event Host, you'll guide groups of 20–30 guests through a step-by-step acrylic painting experience at one of our many venues. No teaching degree is required! You simply need to be comfortable speaking to a crowd, keeping the energy up, and helping guests leave with a painting they're proud of.
This is a flexible part-time position, ideal for artists, creatives, or anyone looking for rewarding evening and weekend work.
Having access to a reliable vehicle for this position is a must!
Compensation
- $125 per event + tips
- Approximately $20–35+ hour
- Typically 1–3 events per week
Typical Schedule
- Evening shifts: 4:00–9:00 PM or 5:00–10:00 PM
- Weekend daytime shifts: 11:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Ideal availability includes two evenings per week, preferably Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Event Locations
Events take place throughout the Lower Mainland, including:
- Vancouver
- Richmond
- Coquitlam
- Maple Ridge
- Langley
- Surrounding areas
We are specifically looking for someone who is comfortable working in the Richmond, Langley, Maple Ridge, and Coquitlam areas.
Responsibilities
- Host public and private Paint and Sip events.
- Lead groups of approximately 20–30 adults through a two-hour painting experience.
- Some events may have as many as 64+ guests, in which case you will receive additional compensation.
- Create a fun, welcoming, and engaging atmosphere.
- Offer one-on-one assistance to guests throughout the event.
- Set up, organize, and clean up event materials.
- Maintain and transport your painting supplies.
- Help move tables, chairs, and event equipment when required.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience painting with acrylics (formal Fine Arts education is not required).
- Is confident speaking in front of groups and has a strong, engaging presence.
- Has a positive, energetic, and outgoing personality.
- Is dependable, organized, and punctual.
- Communicates professionally and responds to messages within 24 hours.
- Owns a reliable vehicle and has a valid driver's licence.
- Owns a smartphone.
- Is comfortable lifting and carrying event supplies.
