**This Position is For a Temporary - Seasonal Cook for the Summer Season, and we are looking for someone to work primarily morning / daytime shifts **
We are a recently opened Taphouse overlooking beautiful Torbay, NL. Located just minutes from St. John's, we aim to not only offer beverages and food, but a complete experience for our guests.
Watch the waves crash against the shores from our dining room/bar or large outdoor patio.
Work while growing your skills working alongside our experienced chef. With all of our food made fresh in house, you will have the opportunity to help create these great dishes from scratch. We are looking for enthusiastic kitchen staff to join our team !
Competitive wages. Wage dependent on experience
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Assist head chef with preparation of food
- Washing, chopping and sorting ingredients such as fruits, vegetables and meats
- Keeping track of ingredient inventory and collaborating with other kitchen and management staff to order resupply.
- Assist with dishwashing duties as needed
- Following recipes and working from a set prep list
- Cleaning and organisation
Requirements
Experience strongly considered an asset!
Must have reliable transportation
Proven experience helping in kitchen settings.
The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
The ability to safely use kitchen equipment and appliances.
Sound knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
