Our client is a leading national law firm with a strong reputation for excellence and client service. They are seeking a Coordinator, Intake & Conflicts to join their national Matter Lifecycle team and support critical risk management and intake processes.

The Job
As a Coordinator, Intake & Conflicts, you will support the firm’s intake and conflicts processes, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency across all new business and lateral hire matters.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Review client and matter intake requests for compliance with firm policies and procedure
- Open new clients and matters in line with internal protocols
- Establish and maintain confidentiality screens and ethical walls
- Support lateral hire onboarding processes for lawyers and staff
- Review and process engagement letters and Know Your Client (KYC) documentation
- Conduct conflict searches and interpret results to support risk assessment
- Facilitate the file opening process by guiding lawyers and assistants on best practices
- Triaging and managing intake and conflicts-related email requests
- Coordinate approvals and escalate issues where required
- Support ongoing improvements to intake workflows and processes
What you bring to the job
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and confident working within structured legal processes.
You also bring:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a legal or professional services environment (preferred)
- Strong understanding of KYC and legal conflicts principles (asset)
- Experience working with databases and interpreting search results
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- High attention to detail with excellent proofreading skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Adobe Acrobat)
- Experience with Intapp Open, Aderant, or iManage is an asset

Pay: $48,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Calgary, AB T2P 0R3
