Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Landscape Supply Depot Yard Staff member to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the yard, and providing excellent guest services with their landscape needs. The.y will have strong communication skills, a friendly attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Maintain the cleanliness, and organization of the landscape depot, including sweeping, trash removal, and landscaping tasks
- Operate loaders, excavators, bin trucks and other types of machinery
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report issues
- Load and unload materials for customers, ensuring safe handling and transport
- Greet guests courteously and provide assistance as needed
- Handle guest inquiries professionally, offering information about our services and materials
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and taking inventory levels, reporting any shortages and discrepancies
- Help receive inventory ensuring accuracy and quality of products
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times to maintain a secure environment
- Handle cash transactions accurately when necessary
- Create invoices in Quickbooks
Experience
- Previous experience in landscaping or similar is preferred but not required
- Experience in guest services or hospitality is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse guests
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential for success in this role
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in varying weather
- Ability to operate a loader or relevant machinery is preferred
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
