Dekker Oilfield Services is looking to grow our team once again! This time we are looking for Class 1 Drivers.
The right applicant needs to:
· Have a valid Class 1 Drivers License with a clean abstract
· Have H2S, First Aid and CSO
· Have five years of hauling and driving experience
· Ability to operate a tractor-trailer equipped with a multi-speed transmission (Automatic and Manual) safely adhering to all safety requirements.
· Experience and competence in performing inspections of mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment of tractor-trailer unit, before, during, and after trips. Including gauges, lighting and electrical systems, and visual checks of potential water, oil, fuel, and air leaks.
· Experience and competence in connecting and disconnecting semi-trailer hoses and securing heavy loads
· Experience and competence in completion of all applicable paperwork. Maintain up-to-date Electronic Driver Log
· Responsible for communicating with Dispatch
· Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and co-workers in a professional manner
· Be able to perform physical work at times (lifting in excess of 50 lbs)
· Experience and competence in the use of satellite tracking equipment
· The ability to observe and comply with rules and regulations of the Ministry of Transportation and the Highway Traffic Act
· Be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
· Have Grade 12 or equivalent
· Live within 15 minutes of Lloydminster
· Have reliable means to get to work
· Overall cleanliness
Qualifications
· Valid Class 1 driver’s license
· Minimum of 3 years’ verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
· No more than 1 moving violation of any kind in the previous 12 months
· No more than 3 moving violations in the previous 36 months
· No moving violation in a commercial vehicle
· Excellent communication skills
· Must have excellent safety and compliance record
· Must have excellent driving skills
· Flexibility to accommodate different start times
· Ability to chain/unchain
