Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing Notice to Reader (NTR) financial statements, corporate and personal tax returns, and assisting with tax planning and compliance. and assurance engagements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2–4 years of experience in public accounting who is looking to develop deeper technical expertise in tax and assurance services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare audit and review engagements
- Prepare NTR (Compilation) financial statements for owner-managed businesses across various industries
- Prepare corporate tax returns (T2), personal tax returns (T1), and trust returns (T3)
- Assist in preparing and reviewing HST filings and other government remittances
- Conduct tax research and support tax planning engagements
- Maintain and update working paper files using CaseWare and TaxCycle
- Liaise with clients to gather information, respond to inquiries, and deliver exceptional service
- Identify issues and propose solutions with guidance from senior staff or partners
- Assist with year-end engagements and special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA designation or working toward CPA designation (preferred)
- 2–4 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on NTR and tax preparation
- Proficiency in accounting software such as CaseWare, TaxCycle, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
