We are seeking a skilled Cementitious Fireproofing Applicator with a minimum of 2 years of experience applying spray-applied fire-resistive materials (SFRM). The successful candidate will be responsible for mixing, pumping, and applying cementitious fireproofing to structural steel and other designated surfaces according to project specifications and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, mix, and spray cementitious fireproofing materials on structural members.
- Operate and maintain spray pumps, hoses, and related equipment.
- Follow blueprint specifications and instructions from supervisors.
- Ensure application meets required thickness, adhesion, and finish standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company and industry standards.
- Perform daily inspections and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
- Adhere to all occupational health and safety requirements, including proper PPE use.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience applying cementitious fireproofing.
- Strong knowledge of fireproofing application techniques and equipment operation.
- Ability to read drawings and follow specifications.
- Physically fit and able to work at heights, on scaffolding, and in various weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Legally able to work in Canada
