Job Summary
IVIS is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project plans, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure competitive pricing and successful project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of underground construction processes, excellent negotiation skills, and proficiency with industry-standard estimating tools. The Construction Estimator plays a vital role in securing new projects and maintaining profitable operations.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed bid proposals.
- Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs to ensure accurate pricing.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to negotiate terms and pricing.
- Prepare and present bid proposals, ensuring competitiveness while maintaining profit margins.
- Assist in the development of project budgets and schedules in coordination with project management teams.
- Conduct site visits as needed to gather additional information for accurate estimation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and market conditions.
- Support project management during the bidding process and post-award phases as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating, with familiarity using Service Fusion and other estimating software.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with clients and subcontractors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
- Experience in project management is a plus but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations is preferred.
- A degree or certification in Construction Management or related field is advantageous but not required.

Pay: $86,500.00-$115,235.24 per year
