About the Role
We are seeking energetic and friendly Part-Time Barista / Gelato Shop Team Members to help create memorable experiences for our guests. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working with people, have a passion for food and beverage service, and thrive in a busy environment.
Key Responsibilities
Your job responsibilities are the following but not limited to;
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Prepare and serve coffee, juices, sodas, and other menu items.
- Scoop and serve gelato while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Answer questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and allergens.
- Process transactions using the POS system.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café, gelato displays, equipment, and workstations.
- Receive deliveries and replenish products and supplies as needed.
- Follow all food handling and safety procedures.
- Assist with opening, closing, and daily operational tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous customer service, café, restaurant, or hospitality experience is required (minimum 2 years)
- Experience closing cafe.
- Friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused personality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CIFS Food Handler Certification required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move up to 30lbs.
Availability Requirements
- Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights
- Flexibility to work additional shifts during holidays and peak periods is an asset.
*Please note: this role will primarily be for closing shifts (ending at 11:30pm)
Must be comfortable with closing down espresso machine and following proper cleaning protocols.
