Job Description:Lead Climber,
EXPERIENCE ARBORIST ONLY
- Working in the canopy of the trees
At various heights from either a Bucket truck or with a Rope and Harness using correct Tree Climbing Techniques
- Contributing to the crew including ground work and running machinery
- Perform all aspects of tree pruning and Removals safely, professionally and efficiently,
Also including but not limited to:
- Driving company vehicles and machinery
- Pruning, Thinning, & Removing
- Deadwooding
- Removal of Hazardous Trees
- Stump Grinding,
- Emergency work
- Clean up, etc
- Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, Bucket truck, etc
Qualifications/ Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent Preferred
- Certifcate in Arborculture, Chainsaw and Climbing, Highly desired
- Able to lift a minimum of 50 Ibs repetitively
- Experience in Chainsaw and Chipper operation, Essential, but training can be provided
- Experience in Emergency Storm Work, Desirable
- Valid G2 or G class (car licence) provincial driver's Desirable
- Tree & Knot knowledge a must, Essential, but training can be provided
- A background in Forestry or Arboriculture, Preferred but not essential
license (DZ an asset)
- Ability to work safely as part of a team
and possess the willingness to learn and
progress
- Abide by industry and Company safety policies and
procedures. (MTO Book 7, Electrical
Utility Safety Rules, Arborist Safe Work
Practices, etc.)
Job Type: Seasonal
Pay: $28.00-$45.00 per hour
