The Opportunity:
The Senior Account Executive in Toronto will be responsible for driving revenue growth and meeting sales goals by developing and managing strategic advertising partnerships with brands and agencies. This role requires a deep understanding of digital media, with a focus on selling Studio71's premium creator-driven content, CTV, podcast, and video advertising solutions.
The ideal candidate will have established relationships with strategy and planning teams at OMG and legacy IPG agencies, a proven track record in digital ad sales, and excellent client relationship management, presentation, and communication skills. They are able to develop creative, data-driven marketing solutions that align with client objectives. This role involves prospecting new business, submitting proposals in response to RFPs, conducting client outreach to generate new leads, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful execution and client satisfaction while maximizing revenue and profitability for Studio71.

Reporting to the EVP of Canada Sales and based in Toronto, the Senior Account Executive will be part of the larger Sales team and will work closely with our Campaign Management team to ensure seamless execution from sale through delivery.
Responsibilities:

Establish and build upon relationships across major media companies in Canada to learn strategic business needs in order to propose meaningful media buys across multiple clients

Drive revenue growth and meet and exceed sales targets by identifying and securing new advertising partnerships with brands and agencies

Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and outreach to negotiation, closing, and the transition to post-sale account management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and media buyers to maximize long-term revenue opportunities

Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to position inventory effectively and ensure flawless execution from sale through delivery

Utilize CRM tools to track sales activity, pipeline development, and campaign performance

Represent Studio71 at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to expand business opportunities

Facilitate, organize, and present go-to-market presentations highlighting Studio71’s offering with effective follow-ups

Develop and pitch strategic, data-driven advertising solutions that leverage Studio71's digital media offerings

What We're Looking For / Qualifications

7+ years' experience selling to major holding companies and advertising agencies in Toronto

Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, with strong negotiation and closing skills

Demonstrated ability to upsell clients and build compelling, strategic, data-driven recommendations

Experience in both new business development and ongoing client management (delivery, account management)

Experience selling programmatic OLV
-
Familiar with the media sales landscape, with the ability to negotiate terms with minimal training and oversight

Deep understanding of digital advertising, branded content, social media platforms, and the influencer marketing ecosystem

Established relationships with brands, media agencies, and advertising decision-makers

Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills; confident and engaging in front of clients

Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides)

Ability to build revenue trackers and financial models

Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and media planning software

Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Strategic and tactical; comfortable operating at both altitudes
Nice to Have:

Successful track record selling to legacy IPG agencies

Experience selling within one or more of the following categories: CPG, QSR, Beauty/Fashion, Auto, or Gaming

Experience selling CTV and/or podcast advertising

Experience selling complex, large-scale media programs with content and/or sponsorship elements

Hands-on experience with Google Ad Manager (GAM) and/or DV360
