We are seeking a Coordinator, Community Food Share Network to help strengthen and grow a collaborative network of community organizations working together to address food insecurity. This role is ideal for a relationship builder, community collaborator, and strategic thinker who is passionate about food security and supporting frontline organizations that serve people experiencing food insecurity. The Coordinator will lead the development and day-to-day coordination of the Community Food Share (CFS) Network and play a key role in strengthening partnerships, improving communication across the network, and ensuring food resources are shared equitably and effectively.
Duties
As Coordinator, Community Food Share, your key responsibilities will include:
· Support the growth and long-term development of the Community Food Share Network.
· Identify opportunities to expand the network by engaging new partners and strengthening collaboration among existing members.
· Help develop strategies that improve equitable food distribution and increase community impact.
· Manage the day-to-day coordination of the Community Food Share Network.
· Develop and coordinate the monthly food calendar.
· Work closely with internal teams to ensure food allocations and logistics support partner needs.
· Maintain program documentation and participation records.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for Community Food Share member agencies.
· Build trusting relationships with community partners and support them in navigating food access systems.
· Respond to member needs, concerns, and operational challenges with a collaborative approach.
· Coordinate and facilitate monthly Community Food Share Network meetings.
· Share updates on food availability, operational changes, and sector developments.
· Encourage collaboration, peer learning, and resource sharing among partner agencies.
· Track participation and food distribution metrics across the network.
· Gather feedback from member organizations to improve program effectiveness.
· Support reporting and program evaluation to measure community impact.
· Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and programs staff to coordinate food distribution and service delivery.
· Share insights from partners to improve systems, processes, and service quality.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in social services, nonprofit management, community development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in community programs, nonprofit coordination, or partnership development.
- Experience working with community agencies, coalitions, or collaborative networks.
- Experience coordinating programs or initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on coordination.
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience collecting and analyzing program data.
- Valid Class G driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to attend occasional evening meetings or community events.
