We are seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Coordinator to support our team for the duration of the Canada Summer Jobs program. The successful candidate will assist in creating engaging digital content, attending company and community events, and representing our brand both online and in person.
This role is perfect for a student or youth with an interest in marketing, communications, media production, or digital storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, developing, and publishing content across our social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn).
- Attend various company events, community activities, and job sites to capture photos, videos, and interviews for content creation.
- Represent the company professionally at events while engaging with staff, partners, and community members.
- Support the marketing team in developing social media calendars, campaigns, and engagement strategies.
- Edit videos, create graphics, and prepare posts that align with our brand guidelines.
- Track social media performance metrics and compile simple reports on engagement and reach.
- Support general marketing and administrative tasks as needed.
What You Bring:
- 1–3 years of experience managing social media accounts (preferably for a service-based business)
- Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills
- Proficiency with tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Meta Business Suite, and/or scheduling tools
- Comfortable working on-site to capture content in active job environments
- Self-starter attitude with great organizational skills
- Bonus: Experience in restoration, construction, or home services industries
