Warehouse & Logistics Lead
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse & Logistics Lead to oversee and coordinate all aspects of warehouse operations, supply chain management, and logistics activities. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and proficiency with various ERP and warehouse management systems. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and French, possess a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement. The Warehouse & Logistics Lead will play a critical role in ensuring efficient warehouse distribution, inventory accuracy, and seamless coordination with internal teams and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations including order picking, packing, shipping, and receiving to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Manage inventory levels using ERP systems such as SAP, AS400, and warehouse management systems.
- Oversee the use of forklifts and other material handling equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Coordinate with supply chain partners including 3PL providers and manage logistics schedules.
- Implement process improvements to optimize warehouse efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance workflow.
- Lead a team of warehouse staff by providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Monitor and analyze data related to inventory accuracy, order processing times, and supply chain metrics.
- Collaborate with purchasing departments to manage stock levels and procurement activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a safe working environment.
- Facilitate communication across departments using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Windows-based applications.
- Support e-commerce operations by managing order fulfillment processes.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in inventory records and documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics leadership within manufacturing or distribution environments.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems including SAP, AS400, or similar platforms; experience with warehouse management systems is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in fast-paced settings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and computer skills related to data analysis.
- Bilingual fluency in English and French is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective team management and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Experience with supply chain coordination including 3PL providers and e-commerce logistics.
- Physical ability for heavy lifting when necessary; attention to safety standards is essential.
- Familiarity with manufacturing workflows, packaging processes, order picking procedures, and warehouse distribution.
