Job Title: Inventory Control Audit Specialist
Location: Toronto, ON
Contract: 12-months
Pay Rate: $50-$55/hr
In this role, you will be responsible for building the end-to-end audit model, including methodology, governance structure, KPIs, and escalation pathways that support strong inventory controls and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:

Design the VMI audit framework covering physical and system-based inventory controls

Define audit methodology (sampling, scoring models, evidence requirements, pass/fail criteria)

Establish audit frequency based on vendor risk, volume, and historical performance

Develop KPIs such as inventory accuracy, cycle count compliance, and transaction accuracy

Create audit tools including checklists, scorecards, and corrective action templates

Define governance structure, roles, responsibilities, and escalation paths

Collaborate with internal teams (Maintenance Delivery, IT, Finance) and vendors to ensure feasibility and alignment

Support development of dashboards, reporting tools, and audit documentation standards
What We’re Looking For:

Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Information Management or equivalent experience

Strong expertise in inventory controls, audit design, and root-cause analysis

Experience working with ERP/inventory systems (e.g., HxGN or similar)

Strong analytical and data interpretation skills

Experience in risk, controls, and compliance frameworks

Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word)

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
