- Transport materials and loads between site locations.
-Complete daily equipment and vehicle checklists, inspect truck equipment, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water. Maintain truck log, according to MTO regulations.
-Assist mechanic with preventative maintenance of vehicles, keep trucks clean and in good condition.
-Maintain valid Ontario AZ or DZ driver’s license and insurable abstract.
-Generate daily truck rental sheets for Company invoicing.
-Promote a safe working environment by participating in tailgate/safety meetings; identification of hazards; and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Able to work Monday through Friday 7:00 am-5:30 pm, with ability to work until 6:30 pm if needed
Qualifications:
-A minimum of 3 years experience is required
-Valid A or D Class Driver’s license, Air Brake Endorsement (Z)
-Clean abstract and CVOR
-Driver record check and license validity check
-Secondary (high school) certificate or equivalent
-Excellent communication skills
