We are growing our commercial team and hiring a Business Development Professional who is motivated by building relationships, developing new markets, and driving real-world impact.
This role is designed to support both:
- Early-career professionals looking to grow into business development
- Experienced sales professionals ready to take ownership of markets and revenue growth
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on, client-facing role where you will work across the full sales cycle—from prospecting and relationship building to solution development and closing deals.
You will be supported by technical, operations, and leadership teams while developing strong expertise in a niche, high-impact industry.

What You’ll Do
Business Development & Sales
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities across multiple industries
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospects and client relationships
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product discussions
- Support or lead sales cycles depending on experience level
- Represent Cypher at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
- Contribute to territory and market growth strategies
Client Solutions & Technical Learning
- Learn or apply understanding of client operations and site challenges
- Recommend appropriate dust control and stabilization solutions (with technical support as needed)
- Prepare proposals, pricing, and quotations
- Support problem-solving and customer solution development
Collaboration & Execution
- Work closely with Production, Logistics, and Technical teams to support delivery
- Maintain CRM records, pipeline updates, and sales activity tracking
- Participate in marketing and business development initiatives
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and market opportunities
What You Bring

We’d like to hear from you if you have:
For Junior Candidates:
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, customer service, account coordination, or business development
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
- Interest in technical or industrial industries
- High energy, curiosity, and coachability
For Senior Candidates:
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management
- Proven ability to build pipeline and close opportunities
- Experience managing client relationships and revenue targets
- Comfort working in technical, solution-based sales environments
Common Requirements
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems
- Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Experience in mining, construction, agriculture, or industrial sectors is an asset
- Additional languages are an asset
