Cornerstone Weddings is looking for part-time bartenders to work at both our Cornerstone Theatre and Canmore Nordic Centre locations for our busy summer wedding season, running from May to the end of October. Come join our amazing team!
We are looking for part-time bartenders to work 2-4 shifts a week, working either the early shift (4:00pm to 8:00pm) or the late/closing shift (8:00pm to close, usually 2:30am -3:00am). Preference will be given to those willing to work at least some closing shifts. Rate of pay is $15.00/hour plus gratuities.
Bartenders are responsible for working the bar: taking drink orders and accurately preparing and serving guests alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in a responsible manner while keeping the bar area clean and tidy. We have a simplified bar menu suitable to serving at large events. Late shift bartenders will close and clean the bar at the end of each event, help with the pack-down of decor items, and perform a cash-out. Bartenders may be scheduled to work any event at Cornerstone Theatre, one of our two Canmore Nordic Centre locations, or at offsite catered events. Occasionally bar staff may be needed to jump in and serve at an event; flexibility is key to working for Cornerstone.
Previous experience working as a bartender would be preferred; a valid, current ProServe certificate is required to work in this position. This role requires individuals who are customer-focused, punctual, and reliable. The position involves being on your feet for your shift (up to 8 hours), lifting up to 10kg, twisting, bending down, and reaching overhead to complete tasks.
