Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth operation of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food service, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves overseeing daily restaurant activities, managing staff, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring operational efficiency in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Previous experience in restaurant management, food handling, and customer service is essential to succeed in this position.
Duties
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and cash handling
- Manage and motivate staff through effective team management, interviewing, and training
- Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Handle POS systems such as Toast POS for order processing and transactions
- Monitor kitchen activities to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on food handling, food preparation, and food industry best practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant environment
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Lead by example in hospitality, leadership, and professionalism to foster a positive work culture
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles
- Supervising experience within the food industry or hospitality sector
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food handling procedures
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS or similar platforms
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to oversee food preparation, cooking, serving, and kitchen operations effectively
- Leadership skills with experience in team management and interviewing potential staff
- Previous hotel experience is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and restaurant experience preferred
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
