The Team Lead, Contracts and Service Development will oversee and sustain an interlinked system of eight service contracts that support the mail and logistics needs of GoA ministries. These include scheduled courier services, provincial delivery services, armoured car services, on-call courier services, and contracted mailroom and distribution services in key Alberta cities.
The role involves managing vendor relationships, monitoring performance metrics, identifying improvement opportunities, and leading projects to enhance service delivery. You will also ensure compliance with GoA procurement policies, regulations, and best practices while delivering best-value solutions that meet the operational needs of GoA programs.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to: -
- Oversee and sustain a system of eight integrated service contracts to ensure secure, reliable, and standardized mail and logistics services.
- Monitor contract expiry dates and maintain an up-to-date contract refresh plan.
- Lead contract refresh projects, ensuring compliance with GoA policies and procedures.
- Identify service gaps and opportunities to streamline or improve coordination within and between contracts.
- Research and analyze mail and logistics solutions from other jurisdictions to identify improvements opportunities.
- Develop evidence-based business cases for service improvement initiatives
- Lead approved projects to implement service improvement or re-engineering initiatives
- Develop and maintain statistical data and performance measures for mail logistics services
- Monitor contracted and internal service levels, identify concerns and work with vendors to implement improvement actions.
- Work closely with Mail and Logistics Services management, peers, vendors and GoA customers to sustain effective and efficient systems of contracted services.
