We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various construction projects, supporting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring the smooth progress of building activities. Duties
Perform demolition work:
- Removing plywood sheets
- Removing insulation
- Chipping and breaking concrete
- Lifting heavy objects
- Site clean-up
Perform remedial work:
- Drilling concrete dowels
- Basic forms
- Applying concrete to floor
- Scarifying floors with walk behind grinders
Perform rough work:
- Framing partition walls
- Framing rough openings and headers
- Placing insulation batts
- Installing vapour barrier
- Installing drywall and sheathing materials
- Priming and painting
Finish Work:
- Flooring
- Doors and windows
- Trim
- Exterior steel siding
Skills
- Must have reliable transportation (ex. vehicle), the job site is not accessible by public transit
- Operate power hand tools and skid steer
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods
- Strong work ethic and reliability with a focus on safety and quality
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- 3-5+ years of prior experience in construction labour is required
