Currently, we are seeking an experienced AV-IT Field Technician to join our Toronto, ON team. The AV-IT Field Technician will hold a senior-level position and will take on a leadership role to help manage and oversee AV projects. You have a project mindset in overseeing and managing multiple projects from start to finish. You enjoy working within a team and are organized and detail-oriented.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee, plan, and implement the day-to-day interactions of multiple AV projects with internal AV teams, clients, and vendors
- Review and acquire a thorough understanding of contract documents including scope of work, drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Support projects to defined scope, implement scope management procedures, and maintain timelines
- Review and present deliverables and report project status to stakeholders
- Ensure customer satisfaction and build strong client relationships
Position Requirements
- Must hold valid Working at Heights (WAH) and Elevated Work Platform (EWP) certifications (required)
- Ability to work from heights and lift 20 ft & 28 ft ladders (up to 60 lbs)
- Customer-oriented with excellent customer service skills and fluency in English
- Ability to work 8–10 hour days and rotating weekends in various weather conditions
- Advanced computer skills; able to complete administrative tasks using manual and automated systems
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines
- Ability to perform physical tasks including sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and manual work
- Ability to work outdoors and in residential and commercial environments
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to anticipate risks and plan ahead
- Ability to work independently and within a team
Technical Experience (Preferred)
- Smart Cameras, Doorbells, Locks, Thermostats, Speakers, Sensors
- Installation of Smart Home Systems, IP Cameras, NVRs/DVRs
- Experience with Nest, Ring, Google Home devices
Additional Requirements
- Reliable vehicle and valid G-class driver’s license
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Qualifications
- College Diploma in Electronics/Networking OR minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of AV systems including home theatre and security integrations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
