On Solid Ground Inc was founded in 2012 to meet the growing demand for professional Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) services in the Barrie and Simcoe region. We provide comprehensive and focused ABA interventions for children, youth, and adults with autism, developmental delays, and related learning differences. Our clinical team delivers early intervention, functional communication training, complex behaviour treatment, and individualized programs in both clinic and home settings.

Summary
We are seeking a Behaviour Technician (Supervised) to join our dedicated team for home and community supports and consultation. In this role, you will play a vital part in developing and implementing skill based teaching programs for individuals with complex behavioural needs under the direction of a Registered Behaviour Analyst. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of providing high-quality therapeutic services and supporting service delivery in home and community settings.
Responsibilities
Ethics & Professional Standards
· Monitor and model professional behaviour with colleagues, upholding ethical responsibilities in line with BACB© Supervision and Practice Guidelines and the Standards of Professional Conduct (College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario – CPBAO).
· Maintain confidentiality and security of all client and organizational information, following OSG’s Policies and Procedures.
Collaboration & Advocacy
· Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary professionals, contributing meaningfully in meetings and advocating for the needs of learners and families.
· Provide coaching and consultation to external partners (e.g., group homes, schools, camps, and community agencies) to support caregiver training, behaviour management, skill development, and generalization.
Assessment & Clinical Competence
· Demonstrate competence in administering and interpreting a variety of assessment tools (e.g., ABLLS-R, AFLS, PEAK, VB-MAPP, FISH, EFL, Social Skills Solutions, Socially Savvy, Project ImPACT).
· Conduct functional behaviour assessments (FBAs), Practical Functional Analyses (PFAs), and develop Skill-Based Treatments (SBTs).
· Assess learning environments to ensure effective, safe conditions for program implementation.
Program Development & Intervention
· Design and oversee individualized treatment plans and behaviour/individual support plans, addressing both replacement skill needs and overall developmental goals.
· Develop programs targeting communication, language, life skills, feeding, sleep, learning readiness, tolerance, play, social skills, academics, and across the lifespan (toddler through adulthood).
· Apply a range of evidence-based teaching methodologies (e.g., natural environment training, discrete trial teaching, incidental teaching, errorless learning, direct instruction).
· Ensure curriculum modifications and new goals/targets reflect client needs and developmental priorities.
Coaching, Mentorship & Staff Development
· Provide supervision, oversight, and mentoring for clinical staff; monitor direct and indirect therapist activities to ensure OSG’s quality standards.
· Deliver staff performance evaluations, improvement plans, and performance feedback
· Demonstrate competence in coaching individuals, dyads, groups, and teams, as well as delivering parent/caregiver training using compassionate care, ACT methodology, and active listening.
Clinical Leadership & Case Management
· Effectively manage caseload with oversight, ensuring timely and quality service delivery.
· Facilitate team and clinical review meetings, program reviews, and family consultations.
· Support scheduling, cancellations, and onboarding of new clients and staff.
· Complete documentation, progress notes, program updates, and case-level reporting with objectivity, accuracy, and adherence to CPBAO standards.
Other
· Carry out additional duties as assigned that align with organizational needs and clinical best practice.
Skills/Qualifications and Continuing Education:
· Master’s degree (in process) in ABA, Psychology, or another regulated health profession; certified as a BCBA and/or registered and in good standing with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) for supervised practice
· Five plus years clinical experience in ABA programs for individuals with Autism
· Past certified individuals - Board Certified assistant Behaviour Analyst (BCaBA) will be considered pending experience, knowledge and performance
· Knowledge of MCCSS standards related to services in the Ontario Autism Program and Developmental Services Ontario
· Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary/transdisciplinary team
· Must have a valid Ontario Driver’s License, a reliable vehicle and be willing to travel; compensation for travel is provided
· Proven attendance record
· Commitment of 1-year required
