We are a multi-trade unionized contractor seeking an experienced supervisor to work in our Tool Crib. In this non-unionized role you will play a crucial role in supporting our projects in the field.
The ideal candidate must have strong supervisory ability, and a background in skilled trades, or tools & equipment rental and must be able to work with spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel.
They will possess strong communication and team building skills, with a focus on employee supervision and development.
This individual will use their proven years of experience in organizing and running a tool crib to drive our goals for safety, quality, cost control, and continuous improvement .
Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 support of our field teams.
- Supervise, schedule, direct, teach, and advise Tool Crib personnel.
- Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of tools and equipment to the jobsite.
- Contact vendors for quotations as required.
- Track inventory of consumables including welding gases, welding supplies, gloves, grinding discs, tools and equipment.
- Rent tools and equipment as required and coordinate delivery to site.
- Schedule maintenance and other services for forklifts, scissor lifts, cranes, and a fleet of trucks.
- Manage department costs including rental costs, for replacement tools, trucking, and repair charges.
- Update tracking spreadsheets in Excel.
- Communicate to all levels in the company including the owner and field personnel
- Perform heavy lifting as required.
- Create and maintain strong working relationships within the Company, with outside vendors, and Our customers.
- Drive continuous improvement work in the department.
- Adhere to Company Policies for Health & Safety at all times
- Ensure confidentiality and that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Must have minimum of 3 years supervisory work experience in a Tool Crib at a multi-trade company or equivalent experience in a related field such as tools & equipment rental, or a skilled trades background.
- Proven ability to plan, organize and problem solve in a fast paced, high stress environment.
- Can use spread sheets in Excel.

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
