Overview
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and dependable Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day financial and operational needs of two related organizations supporting Ontario’s wine industry.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping things organized, takes pride in accuracy, and is comfortable working independently with minimal supervision. While the position includes core bookkeeping responsibilities, we are looking for someone with sound judgment who can manage priorities, identify issues, and help ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly.
The successful candidate will be practical, efficient, highly organized, and comfortable balancing competing priorities across two organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Financial Administration
- Process accounts payable, invoice entry, and EFT payment preparation
- Process payroll and maintain related documentation
- Prepare and submit routine government remittances, including payroll source deductions and HST returns
- Process employee expense claims and maintain supporting documentation
- Prepare and process invoices, maintain accounts receivable records, and monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices as required
- Maintain vendor records and financial filing systems
- Complete account and credit card reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end financial processes
- Assist with routine financial reporting and preparation of supporting documentation
- Provide occasional support with KPI tracking, reporting templates, and data compilation as required
Administrative & Organizational Support
- Maintain organized digital filing, document retention, and version control
- Help coordinate financial and operational information across two organizations
- Support day-to-day organizational administration as needed

Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in bookkeeping or financial administration
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 skills
- Experience with bookkeeping/accounting software (QuickBooks experience considered an asset)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience processing payroll and government remittances
- Post-secondary education or training in bookkeeping, accounting, business administration, or a related field considered an asset
Additional Information
- Full-time position (35 hours/week), supporting two related organizations
- In-office role based in Vineland, with the opportunity for a hybrid work arrangement (up to two work-from-home days per week) after an onboarding period, based on operational needs and performance
- Compensation in the range of $47,000–$55,000 annually, commensurate with experience
