Job Overview
The Receptionist is the first point of contact for customers, visitors, and callers at the dealership. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming and professional experience while providing administrative support to various departments. The Receptionist ensures customers are directed appropriately, maintains an organized front reception area, and assists with daily office operations.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet customers and visitors in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
- Determine the purpose of each visit and direct customers to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Always maintain a positive first impression of the dealership.
Telephone & Communication
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally.
- Take accurate messages and ensure they are delivered to the appropriate staff member.
- Respond to general customer inquiries or direct inquiries to the appropriate department.
- Monitor and respond to general dealership email inquiries, if assigned.
Reception & Office Management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception and waiting area.
- Ensure brochures, promotional materials, and customer information displays remain current and well stocked.
- Coordinate visitor sign-in procedures and maintain security protocols for guests.
Team Support
- Provide administrative assistance to the Sales, Service, Parts, Finance, and Management teams as required.
- Assist with dealership events, customer appreciation initiatives, and promotional activities.
- Complete additional duties as assigned to support dealership operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service, reception, or administrative experience is considered an asset.
- Experience in an automotive dealership is an asset but not required.

Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based in a dealership environment.
- Frequent interaction with customers, employees, and external vendors.
- Extended periods of sitting, standing, and computer work.
