Job description
We are looking for a junior accountant that will support the accounting team with responsibilities across the entire company. This opportunity is ideal for a individual with a great attitude, attention to detail and an aptitude to learn. We will be providing training as part of this position to grow into a key contributor within our team.
Duties include (not limited to):
Accounts payable
· Code and enter invoices
· Ensure proper approvals on invoices
· Code and enter credit card and expense reports
· Match cheques to back-up for signatures
Joint interest billings
· Code and upload JIBs through Energylink or handle manually if necessary
· Verify interests and charges on JIBs
Bank reconciliations
Accounts receivable analysis and collections
Record keeping
· Scan accounting records, and other records if time permits
· Evaluate efficiencies in record keeping for future periods
Assist Operations with cost analysis
Adhoc reporting and analysis
AFE Administration
Office administration – assistance as required
Minimally an Accounting Diploma is required
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
