Pattison High School is a well-established independent high school located in downtown Vancouver since 2003. At Pattison High School, our motto is " we do not teach a class; we teach individual students in a class".
We are seeking qualified teachers for the teaching position of Pre-calculus 10-12:
Term: July 6 – August 12
Schedule: 3.5 hours per day
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver the Pre-calculus curriculum in alignment with BC Ministry of Education guidelines
- Design engaging lessons that support diverse learners and promote critical thinking, numeracy and analysis skills
- Assess and evaluate student progress using varied assessment strategies
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student achievement
- Maintain accurate attendance, records, and reporting documentation
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration as needed
- Support students in completing course requirements within a condensed summer timeline
Qualifications:
- Valid BC Teaching Certificate
- Demonstrated experience teaching senior secondary Pre-calculus courses
- Strong understanding of the BC Pre-calculus curriculum
- Experience working with diverse learners and differentiated instruction
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in an intensive, fast-paced environment
