Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist (Contract Position) to join our dynamic HR team. This role is instrumental in supporting employee relations, policy administration, and compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor to team members and leadership, ensuring fair, consistent, and timely HR practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as a primary resource for employee relations, offering guidance to team members, supervisors, and managers on HR policies and procedures.

Lead and conduct workplace investigations (e.g., harassment, violence, misconduct), ensuring thorough documentation, timely resolution, and professional communication of findings.

Provide coaching and consultation to leadership on performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.

Support the administration of the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.

Monitor and manage workplace accommodation in compliance with the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and Human Rights Code.

Stay current with employment legislation and provide recommendations to ensure organizational compliance.

Draft and maintain HR documentation, including reports, policies, and investigation summaries.

Champion a positive workplace culture by promoting fairness, respect, and open communication.

Perform other HR-related duties as assigned to support departmental goals.
Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Labour Relations, or a related field.

CHRP designation (or working toward it) is considered an asset.

Minimum 3 years of HR experience, with a focus on employee/labour relations and conflict resolution.

Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.

Strong knowledge of ESA, Human Rights legislation, and workplace investigation protocols.

Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proven ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
