Part-Time Bookkeeper (On-Site)

Avenue Road Roofing, a respected construction company with over five decades of operational excellence in the GTA, is seeking a qualified Part-Time Bookkeeper to oversee comprehensive bookkeeping and accounting functions. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a professional office environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop (mandatory)
- Experience with Sage accounting software
- Familiarity with accounting automation and process optimization
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
- Clear, professional communication and customer service skills
Position Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping and accounting activities
- Maintain accurate financial records and complete bank reconciliations
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare financial reports and support month-end procedures
- Utilize QuickBooks Desktop and Sage accounting systems
- Contribute to improvements in accounting automation and workflow efficiency
Schedule
- Part-time, on-site position (25 to 30 hours per week)
- Located at our Toronto office (Dufferin / Eglinton)
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation range: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour commensurate with experience and skill set
