Overview
We are seeking a skilled Drafting Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and design, utilizing various software tools to create detailed schematics and technical drawings. This role is essential in supporting our Sales and design teams, ensuring that projects are executed with precision and accuracy.
Duties
- Prepare engineering designs and drawings
- Read blueprints to determine work requirements
- Develop and prepare design sketches
- Complete documentation packages and drawing sets
- Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
- Perform job-site calculations
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
Skills
- Excellent verbal communications and customer relations skills
- Attention to detail and well-organized
- Strong competency at using software programs within Windows environment, specifically Word, Excel, e-mail required
- Experience with AutoCAD required
- Experience with construction materials/products, an asset
- Blueprint reading and scaling necessary.
- Experience with Window manufacturing program or similar drafting software.
