Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to provide quality support and assistance to clients in various care settings. This role involves working closely with seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized care such as dementia support. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of clients through attentive caregiving and personalized care services.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications as directed and monitor health status
- Support clients with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to prevent injury
- Support clients with activities of daily living tailored to individual needs
- Document care provided accurately and communicate any concerns to supervising staff
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care is preferred
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those with dementia is highly valued
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus
- Demonstrated caregiving skills including patience, empathy, and effective communication
- Familiarity with cleaning routines and meal preparation for diverse dietary needs is advantageous
