Summary
Royal Homes is seeking a talented AutoCAD Draftsman or Draftswoman to join our team in the Blind River area. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating precise architectural drawings that support our mission of delivering superior custom homes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative residential projects that reflect our commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
Develop detailed architectural drawings using drafting software.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to ensure design accuracy.
Prepare schematics and technical plans for residential building projects.
Modify designs based on feedback and project requirements.
Ensure all drawings comply with local building codes and standards.
Assist in the integration of modern technology into design processes.
Support project teams throughout the construction phase by providing detailed documentation.
Qualifications
Proven experience a in residential or commercial construction.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit, Civil 3D, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and MicroStation is a plus.
Strong understanding of architectural drafting standards and building codes.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
A portfolio demonstrating previous drafting work is highly desirable.
