Coy's isn't your average restaurant gig. We're a par 3 golf course and bistro in the heart of the Columbia Valley — and our guests come here to relax, have a great meal, and enjoy the view. That means our servers aren't just order-takers; they're the ones who set the whole tone.
If you're a natural people-person who can keep your cool during a lunch rush, remember a table's preferences without writing them down, and genuinely make someone's day — we want to meet you.
What You'll Do
Make Guests Feel at Home
- Greet guests warmly and promptly — first impressions matter here
- Know the menu well enough to guide guests, not just recite it
- Take accurate food and drink orders and enter them into the POS
- Deliver food and beverages efficiently and professionally
- Check in throughout the meal and handle any concerns with grace
Keep Things Running Smoothly
- Maintain clean, organized tables and service stations throughout your shift
- Process payments accurately — cash, credit, gift cards, no problem
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and bar staff so nothing falls through the cracks
- Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols
- Pitch in on daily task lists and keep the front-of-house tight
Be a Team Player
- Back up your teammates during busy periods — everyone wins together
- Work cooperatively with kitchen, bar, and fellow servers
- Show up to training sessions ready to learn and contribute
What We're Looking For
You bring:
- Serving or customer service experience — helpful, but not a dealbreaker if you've got the right attitude
- Strong communication skills and a genuine warmth with people
- The ability to juggle multiple tables and priorities without dropping the ball (or the tray)
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene basics
Bonus points for:
- Experience with POS systems
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- On your feet for most of your shift — this is an active role
- Carrying trays up to 25 lbs with confidence
- Moving comfortably through a busy dining room — bending, reaching, weaving
What's in It for You
- Competitive hourly wage + tips
- Staff meal discounts on shift — eat what we serve, and we serve good stuff
- Golf course privileges — yes, really
- A team that actually looks out for each other
- A venue people love coming to — which makes your job a whole lot better
