Reporting to the Manager, Planning and Programs, Sanitary and Stormwater Utilities (SSU), the Supervisor, Infrastructure Planning (SSU) will assess and oversee the technical and planning requirements for sanitary and stormwater collection and treatment systems. The position ensures effective planning of new infrastructure and rehabilitation works through using and maintaining the Infoworks ICM hydraulic models, flow monitoring networks, weather station networks, hydrogen sulphide monitoring, inflow and infiltration mitigation strategy, risk management studies, asset management processes, and master planning. The position oversees the delivery of performance assessments of municipal infrastructure, identification of infrastructure renewal and replacement capital projects, and related project budget forecasting up to and including the 10-year capital forecast for infrastructure renewal. The objective is to ensure the high performance of existing and planned infrastructure to meet legislated and regulatory compliance, ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient provision of services to Sanitary and Stormwater customers in the City of Kitchener.
