Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Shift Supervisor to oversee daily restaurant operations and support the management team in delivering exceptional guest service. - Lead and supervise restaurant team members during assigned shifts, ensuring productivity, teamwork, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure all food products are prepared and served according to A&W quality, safety, and presentation standards.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly to maintain a positive guest experience.
- Operate and supervise cash register and POS transactions, including cash handling, balancing tills, and processing payments accurately.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, receiving deliveries, and maintaining proper storage procedures.
- Train, coach, and support team members in customer service, food safety, operational procedures, and company expectations.
- Assist with scheduling staff, managing shift coverage, and ensuring adequate staffing levels during peak periods.
- Support recruitment efforts by participating in interviews, onboarding, and employee orientation.
- Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth and development.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and workplace policies.
- Assist management with administrative tasks, sales reporting, labor control, and operational planning.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming restaurant environment for guests and employees.
- Support promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives to help drive sales and customer engagement.
Experience
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a restaurant, quick-service restaurant (QSR), hospitality, or customer service environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience handling cash, operating POS systems, and managing customer service situations.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, overnight and holidays as required.
- Food Handler Certification is preferred or may be required.
Pay: From $18.60 per hour
