Overview
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, fabrication, and mechanical assembly, with the ability to read blueprints and operate various tools and machinery. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects involving ductwork, structural components, and custom fabrications in a dynamic environment. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of safety protocols and quality standards to ensure precision and efficiency in all tasks.
Duties
- Perform TIG welding on various materials, including steel and aluminum, ensuring high-quality welds that meet specifications.
- Utilize MIG welding, plasma cutting, press brake machines, and hand tools for fabrication and assembly tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately produce components.
- Operate power tools, machining equipment, cranes, forklifts, and other machinery safely and efficiently.
- Conduct rigging operations for lifting and positioning heavy or complex assemblies using cranes or forklifts.
- Measure parts with calipers, basic math skills, and other precision instruments to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Assist with the assembly of ductwork, structural frameworks, or custom fabrications according to project requirements.
- Maintain a clean workspace while adhering to safety standards related to welding, machining, and construction environments.
- Collaborate with team members on projects requiring mechanical knowledge, schematics interpretation, or construction experience.
Experience
- Proven experience in TIG welding is required; MIG welding experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with plasma cutting, press brake operation, machining processes, and blueprint reading is essential.
- Knowledge of rigging procedures, crane operation, forklift handling, and use of hand/power tools is highly desirable.
- Experience working within manufacturing or construction environments involving ductwork or structural fabrication is preferred.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Prior experience with schematics interpretation and assembly processes will be advantageous.
