Job Description:
Answer all incoming calls, and respond to caller's inquiries in a positive, professional manner. Redirect calls as appropriate and take clear, concise messages when required Greet and assist all clients and visitors. Take care of internal mail and to stamp and deliver external mail. Prepare mail/packages and arrange courier pick up. Arrange schedules and bookings. Order supplies as needed Correspond with and liaise between the lawyers, other staff, and clients.
Review and proofread outgoing documents and correspondence. Organize workflow and initiate follow-up action in a timely manner to meet multiple deadlines. File and maintain electronic and paper documentation using office filing system and procedures. Legal research as required. Draft, assemble, and review documentation and/or applications Administrative work on an ongoing basis or as needed Willing and eager to work collaboratively and individually. Make court appearances as required Qualifications: Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant is an asset but not required.
Proficiency with PC Law and billing procedures is an asset Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency with PC Law and billing procedures is an asset. Strong client service focus and interpersonal skills
Positive attitude with commitment to supporting a team . Excellent verbal and written communication in English. Ability to organize, multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail.
High level of technical competency and skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Software.
