Project Worker – Senior
(Part-Time Contract until December 23, 2026)
Catholic Crosscultural Services (CCS) is a settlement agency providing a wide range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of their religion, ethnicity, country of origin, immigration status, sexual orientation, or political affiliation.
We are searching for two temporary part-time Project Worker- Senior, Golden Agers Club (one for Toronto and one for Peel) to provide activities for seniors to reduce social isolation, encourage active living and healthy aging, and strengthen seniors’ sense of belonging through inclusive and culturally responsive programming.

Research, compile, and maintain up-to-date information on community resources and services available to seniors in each service region (one for Toronto and one for Peel)
Develop, design, and format comprehensive Senior Resource Handbooks for each service region.
Plan and facilitate weekly beta-testing sessions with senior participants during Tea Talk activities to evaluate the usability, readability, and relevance of the resource handbooks.
Gather feedfrom seniors through surveys, group discussions, and observations, and analyze the findings to recommend improvements to the handbook's content, design, and accessibility.
Collaborate with program staff and community partners to ensure all resource information is accurate, current, and responsive to seniors' needs.
Organize and coordinate other activities that reduce social isolation, promote community engagement, and encourage active participation among seniors.
Develop and implement outreach and promotional strategies to increase awareness of senior programs, activities, and available community resources.
Prepare and submit accurate statistical reports, activity summaries, and progress reports in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as assigned, including:
Participating in agency committees, working groups, and special projects.
Supporting agency fundraising initiatives, as appropriate.
Attending required agency meetings, training sessions, and organizational events.
What are we looking for?

Post-secondary education in any of the following: Gerontology, Adult Education or Social Service work diploma from recognized institution or equivalent training in community work sectors

Experience in developing community resource materials, facilitating group activities

Volunteer or work experience in the settlement and/or community work sectors an asset

Second Language is an asset
Location: one in Toronto and one in Peel
Compensation: $29.67 based on experience.
Hours of work: 21 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and occasional overtime as required
