Forge Recruitment is supporting our client in the search for a Retail Store Manager within the pool and outdoor living space.
About the Role
This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing day-to-day store operations while driving sales performance, customer experience, and local brand growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the customer journey, from first interaction through to long-term relationship building. This role is well suited to a hands-on leader who enjoys being on the floor, supporting and developing a team, and taking full ownership of store performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily store operations with a strong focus on sales growth and customer experience
- Drive high-ticket sales, including hot tubs, pools, and outdoor living products
- Consistently achieve and exceed quarterly sales targets through upselling and relationship-based selling
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Oversee inventory management, purchasing, vendor relationships, and seasonal planning
- Contribute to marketing initiatives and ideas to support in-store traffic and e-commerce growth
- Strengthen local brand presence and compete effectively with large retailers through personalized service
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including merchandising, staffing, and store presentation
- Provide hands-on support in-store, including assisting customers with loading products when required (up to 14 kg)
- Occasionally travel to client sites as needed (mileage and fuel reimbursed)
What We’re Looking For
- Strong retail leadership experience with a proven track record in a sales-driven environment
- Experience in high-ticket retail (pool, hot tubs, home improvement, or similar) considered an asset
- Strong relationship-building skills with a focus on customer experience and retention
- Experience in inventory control, purchasing, and vendor management
- Exposure to marketing or e-commerce growth is an asset
- Forklift experience is an asset (certification preferred or willingness to obtain; training provided)
- Hands-on, proactive leader with strong ownership mentality
- Comfortable in a physically active retail environment
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
