Commercial Painter / Project Management Opportunity

Sunvalley Painting & Decorating Corp is one of Kamloops' leading Commercial and Residential painting contractors. With several large-scale projects underway, we are looking for experienced professional painters who take pride in their work and have the skills to lead projects, coordinate crews, and deliver exceptional results.
This is more than just a painting position. We are looking for individuals with strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities who are interested in developing into, or already working as, Project Managers or Lead Painters.
What You'll Do
- Lead and coordinate commercial painting projects, including preparation, surface treatment, and finishing work.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate execution of projects.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, rigging equipment, and other necessary tools safely and effectively.
- Perform residential, industrial, and restoration painting tasks with precision and attention to detail.
- Manage project timelines by scheduling work crews, coordinating resources, and ensuring adherence to deadlines.
- Oversee site safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure project specifications are met or exceeded.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the project lifecycle to maintain high standards of craftsmanship.
- Maintain accurate documentation of project progress, materials used, and any issues encountered.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 5 years of proven professional painting experience.
You should:
- Be highly organized and dependable.
- Have leadership or crew-leading experience.
- Be able to manage multiple tasks and solve problems independently.
- Have excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Produce consistently high-quality workmanship.
- Work well within a team environment.
- Take pride in representing the company professionally.
Requirements
- Must live in Kamloops or within commuting distance.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (valid work permit if applicable).
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- Own basic painting tools and PPE.
- Physically fit and capable of commercial painting work.
- Able to work indoors and outdoors.
