We are currently seeking a full-time experienced Dispatcher from 2pm to 10pm. Monday through Friday and on call every third weekend.
Required Skills include:
Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Transportation Dispatch for both Canada and USA
Knowledge of Fleet Manager, PC Miler, and Omnitracs
Experience with Customs clearance, PARS, PAPS, ACE, ACI
Knowledge and understanding of Hours-of-Service Regulations for both Canada and USA
Knowledge geographically for Canada and USA is an asset
Competent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
High level of accuracy and attention to detail when entering data and processing paperwork
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced team environment
Reliable, dependable, flexible, and trustworthy
Responsibilities include:
Monitor the dispatch board constantly to ensure trips are departing, arriving, and running on schedule through our Fleet Manager Program and Omnitracs Program
Maintain contact with drivers and address any routing issues that may occur
Support and assist all drivers both in long haul and local runs
Support all customers service needs to meet or exceed expectations
Communicate with Service regarding any vehicle issues
Ensuring routes and trips are performed safely and on time
Data entry
Customs paperwork/clearance
On call every third weekend
Other duties as required
